Prof. Shuai Li received the B.E. degree in precision mechanical engineering from Hefei University of Technology, China, the M.E. degree in automatic control engineering from University of Science and Technology of China, China, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology, Hoboken, NJ, USA. He is currently a full professor with Faculty of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, University of Oulu, Finland and also an adjunct professor with VTT (Technical Research Center of Finland), Oulu, Finland. His current research interests include robotics, autonomous systems, and intelligent control. He is among the pioneers in developing machine learning methods to address robotic system control with safety certification and performance guarantee.
