Dr. Changming Li currently is the Professor, Chair of School of Materials Science and Engineering of Suzhou University of Science and Technology, Directors for Institute of Clean Energy and Advanced Materials of Southwest University (2002-present). He received BS from University of Science and Technology of China (1970) and PhD from Wuhan University (1987) followed by postdoctoral fellow in UIUC (1988-90). He worked in WPI, Florida as a senior scientist (1991-93). Then became Distinguished Tech Staff and Science Advisory Board Member of Motorola in US (1994-2002). He Joined Nanyang Technological University, Singapore as Professor, Head of Bioengineering Division and Director of Centre for Advanced Bionanosystems (2003-12). He has 720+ peer-reviewed journal papers with 36,000+ cites and H-index of 92, 7 book-chapters, 200+ invited/plenary talks and 260+ patents. His many patents have been industrialized or licensed generating billion market values. He is the Thomson Reuters, Clarivate Analytics and Elsevier World's Most Cited Researcher in Materials and Cross-field Science. His major R&D involves functional materials, green energies and biosensing/lab-on-chips. He has been the elected Member of the European Academy of Science, the Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, the Foreign Member of Russian Academy of Engineering Sciences, and Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry. He has received prominent Awards such as 2nd Class of China National Technology Innovation Award, China National Award in Medical Science and Technology, China National Overseas Innovation Award, China National Industrialization-Education-Research Award, Nanyang Research and Innovation Award (NTU) and Motorola Master Innovator Award, USA.
