Claudia-Lidia Badea-Simionescu is born 12.01.1937 in Cluj-Napoca, Rumänien.

She studied at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Bucuresti from where she received 1973 a PhD in Mathematics. From 1987 she is a doktor der Naturwissenschaften from the University of Vienna and from 1991 Habilitierte (Dozent) der Universität Salzburg. Until 1985 she was a professor at the University of Brasov, Romania and from 1985 till her retirement she activated as visiting professor at the University of Salzburg and researcher in the industrie .
